Damages report:

Metal & Current Upon our assessment various defects, damages & faulty repair methods were noticed over the full roof span. Should these defects, damages & faulty repair methods not be attended to, further damages may occur.

Please note:

Tests are carried out with the following sophisticated equipment to determine the source of damages:

  1. Moist Meter MM-360 Detectors
  2. Remote endoscope camera
  3. Thermal imaging camera
  4. Surveillance drone, etc.

Damages, Defects & Faults Noted:

  1. Lack of & faulty/deteriorated acrylic waterproofing
  2. Failed coatings (Flaking, chalkiness)
  3. Excessive movement on the cladding surface
  4. Popped &/compromised fixations (over/under torqued)
  5. Lifting laps on roof sheeting
  6. Compromised roof sheets
  7. Rotten/weathered exposed timber
  8. Broken/missing barge boards
  9. Ineffective, weathered gutters.  L3 rust
  10. Unsealed protrusions, Polycarb, INTERSECTING PROFILES, CORROSION

Solution:

  1. Strip Faulty waterproofing
  2. High pressure wash @200 bar, prep, prime & re-coat
  3. Implement pressure testing, Re-torque/replace fixations where necessary (Indicative of water penetration, structure deterioration)
  4. Replace fixations with “Tapperman class 3 Timtapp” fixations with Carbon-free bonded poly-washers
  5. Stitch laps and seal with GB89 UV stable &  paintable Polyurethane joint sealant
  6.   Remove & replace with new
  7. Double back-reinforce/replace timber where necessary
  8. Replace with new, prep & coat
  9. Strip & replace
  10. Caulk and waterproof with 5-layer Seamless Acrylic/liquid rubber waterproofing compound

Mpumalanga Roof and Coatings issues a warranty certificate based on an annual service inspection.
